Urea is a naturally occurring compound and an essential component of the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). It is one of the most effective cosmetic ingredients for improving skin hydration, softening rough skin, and supporting the skin's natural barrier.

At lower concentrations, Urea acts as a powerful humectant, attracting and retaining moisture. At higher concentrations, it gently exfoliates dry, thickened skin, making it an excellent ingredient for products designed for rough elbows, knees, feet, and very dry skin.

How to Use

Dissolve Urea completely in the water phase. For best stability, add during the cool-down phase or keep the temperature below 40–50°C whenever possible, as excessive heat can cause degradation.
